We now listen to the sense of destiny deep in our souls… We sense that we are somehow connected to this thing called creation.
While this can be fresh and exhilarating it also can make one afraid.
For if we are connected then maybe that means creation is counting on us.
What do we do when we feel that weight of responsibility?
When we are supremely aware of our own failures and our guilt is ever before us?
Have you felt this tension?
There is this higher calling. Divine invitation. We are asked to contribute. And we want to. And we have.
But sometimes it seems what we have offered is blemished, unworthy… ugly. Especially compared to others.
Other people seem to get it.
They move with ease through the sea of ambiguity.
They smile and bounce and take life in stride.
Why then do we feel empty?
Why does it seem like we are never enough?
Why do we cave in to the dark side?
Why does it seem like our soul is hiding and no matter what we try we can't coax it out?
The more [assured] we are of a work or calling, the more sure we can be that we have to do it… That's why we feel so much Resistance.
If it meant nothing to us, there'd be no Resistance.
