Know the Ending
Robert McKee has said,Writers explore life through their art form trying to find their truth. Poke around in all corners of life, but ultimately you will discover an ending. You cannot know the meaning until you know the ending. You will know the ending when you find what moves you. What moves me? Experiencing people experience love. Experiencing them experience grace. Experiencing them heal. Experiencing them being restored. Experiencing them find hope. Experiencing them laugh and cry. Experiencing them be inspired. How do they experience these things? Through connection. Something not in a formula. Something transcendent. Why do they experience these things? If they don’t they will shrivel up. If they don’t they will be lost without purpose. If they don’t they will hurt people and hurt themselves. If they do “connect,” they will experience what moves me, and what I believe will move them. Irreplaceable cause: Connection. Connection only happens when we wake up. Connection only happens when we embrace pain. Connection only happens when we risk. Connection only happens when celebrate. Connection only happens when we respond to the invitation of God to live. The only way to live is to die. When we die to ourselves and become truly alive we are carried by love.
